Arsenal 3-0 Newcastle
It was deja vu for Newcastle as they again lost to Arsenal in what was like a repeat of the FA Cup match only a few days back to loose 3-0. Adebayor, Flamini and Fabregas all found net in this easy win for the Gunners. Newcastle tried to take the game to Arsenal but then it was too late as Arsenal had all but sealed the game.
Prediction : 2-0
Result : 3-0
Bolton 0-0 Fulham
It was a goalless affair at the Reebok with both the teams failing to score. Genuine goalscoring chances were far few in between, and both the sides failed to capitalize in whatever chances they got.
Prediction : 2-1
Result: 0-0
Middlesbrough 1-0 Wigan
Boro won at home thanks to solitary strike by Aliadiere in the 20th minute. Boro dominated the game with Tuncay and Mido both tormenting the Lactics. Wigan lacked the attacking prowess and failed to score and were kept busy in defending most of the time by Boro forwards.
Prediction : 2-1
Result: 1-0
Sunderland 2-0 Birmingham
Sunderland won this fight of the red zone to come out of the bottom three. Some bad defending saw Sunderland score twice to win the match with goals coming in both the halves. New signing Prica scored the second goal for Sunderland.
Prediction : 2-1
Result: 2-0

Chelsea 1-0 Reading
Chelsea kept their good form going with the home win against Reading. Ballack scored the only goal of the game at the 32nd minute. Hahnemann was kept busy at the goal by Chelsea, and even Cech had some close moments in the game but he kept Reading at bay and the game ended in a 1-0 win for Chelsea
Prediction : 3-1
Result: 1-0
Derby 1-1 Man City
It was a surprise result for City as they dropped two points after Derby held them to a draw at Pride Park. Both the teams had fair amount of shots on goal but none really materialized and it was hosts who were better at times, and took the lead with a deflection from Jihai to score an own goal, but Petrov was instrumental in the equalizer for City. His cross for Sturridge was accurate and was converted in a goal.
Prediction : 1-2
Result: 1-1
Everton 0-0 Tottenham
This came out to be a goalless affair, surprisingly as Spurs have been scoring freely lately, but Everton defense kept them in check and it all ended up in a draw. New signing Woodgate was handed the debut for Spurs, and the game was mostly in the midfield with neither side causing too much problems for either goalkeepers other than occasional shots on goal.
Prediction : 2-1
Result: 0-0
Man Utd 2-0 Portsmouth
A quick first half brace from, well who else, but that boy Cristiano Ronaldo, sealed the win for United. The Portugese netted a nice finish to open the scoring and immediately after that let loose a screaming bullet from a free-kick 25 yards out. United contained Pompey well and the visitors failed to have a single shot on goal and it was United who kept James busy in goals with lot of shots coming his way.
Prediction : 3-0
Results: 2-0
West Ham 1-0 Liverpool
Liverpool’s nightmarish run continued at Upton Park as they lost to West Ham after failing to score. It was going for another draw but the last minute penalty sealed the fate for Liverpool as Mark Noble converted from the spot to make it a great win for West Ham. Hammers had the game in control in the first half and although Liverpool were better in the second half, the Hammers defense was as solid and didn’t allow Liverpool to score.
Prediction : 1-1
Result: 1-0
