Ferrari and McLaren launch their 2008 cars

The two biggest rivals in Formula One business, Ferrari and McLaren both launched their cars early in January well before other teams. Ferrari launched theirs on 06 Jan 2008
and McLaren unveiled a day later on 07 Jan 2008. After a controversial end to the 2007 season, both the teams would be ready to start where they left it last season. And it couldn’t have started in a better way then both the teams launching their title contenders just one after the other.

Ferrari came out first with their F2008 in their Maranello base in Italy. Incorporating all the new features required by the new regulations, the car looks great and promises to be competitive. With the Jerez testing just a week away, and the early launch would allow the Italian outfit to iron out any issues that might crop up in the pre season testing.

McLaren unveiled their MP4-23 in Stuttgart, Germany in presence of Lewis Hamilton and Heikki Kovalainen. After a lot of controversy surrounding McLaren last season the team would want to forget all that and start afresh with their new contender in the pre season testing at Jerez.
